According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani made an apparent threat to disrupt other countries' oil shipments through the Gulf if Washington maintains efforts to halt Iranian oil exports. In a bid to curb the Islamic Republic’s missile program and regional influence, the United States has reportedly imposed sanctions on Iran, while U.S. officials say they intend to reduce Iran’s oil exports to zero. Rouhani reportedly said in a televised speech, “America should know that we are selling our oil and will continue to sell our oil and they are not able to stop our oil exports." Similar comments were reportedly made by Rouhani in July.
