The competing search engine DuckDuckGo claims that Google is tracking internet users even when incognito mode is activated. DuckDuckGo claimed that Google is using personal information to tailor search results, says Digital Trends. In a blog post, DuckDuckGo said that Google "puts you in a bubble based on what Google’s algorithms think you’re most likely to click on." The company concluded that "private browsing mode and being logged out of Google offered very little filter bubble protection." Google has disputed DuckDuckGo's privacy research study, claiming its research methods were flawed.
