NASA's InSight lander survived its "7 minutes of terror" and successfully touched down on Mars on November 26. The lander got itself up and running, and snapped a picture with its Instrument Deployment Camera. NASA shared the image on its social media channels with a caption from InSight's perspective. According to the Mother Nature Network, it wasn't the first picture taken with the IDC, but it was the prettier of the two. After the images were taken, InSight captured its first audio recording on December 1. InSight's mission is expected to last at least two years.
