On Monday actor Ellen Page dropped by the BBC Radio 5 to discuss the current issues affecting the LGBTQ community, including the come-ups and setbacks. Page, who as of last year is happily married to Emma Portner, says the U.S. continues to have “so far to go” when it comes to queer rights and equality. The page states, “‘Marriage equality should’ve never even been a debate." HuffPost reports Page's comments to come after President Trump recently rolled back protections for transgender people including banning transgender people from serving in the U.S. military and removing protections that allowed trans students to use the bathroom that adheres to their gender identity.
