A former Trump White House adviser wants to block Mick Mulvaney from joining a lawsuit. The suit seeks to clarify whether the House can force testimony in an impeachment investigation from presidential advisers. Charles Kupperman stepped down last month as President Donald Trump’s deputy national security adviser. Kupperman made the unusual request to a federal judge Monday, in a 10-page motion through his attorney. The motion opposes current White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney’s bid to sign on as an intervenor in his case.
