The Justice Department’s inspector general shut down one of President Donald Trump’s claims. The inspector found no evidence supporting Trump’s claim that the FBI spied on his 2016 presidential campaign. Trump said they were spying on him while investigation if his campaign conspired with the Russian government. According to Business Insider, Trump accused former President Barack Obama of tapping his phones. While some flags came up, overall, the report finds the surveillance was legally justified and not driven by political bias.
